HP Prisoner Fest

Posting is about to start for the fourth round of hp_prisonerfest!

Before we begin, here are a few notes :)

We have a lovely variety of pairings, so if something isn't your thing, please be respectful. We won't accept any wank or ship-bashing.

For authors and artists participating in the fest, please remember that this is an anonymous exchange, so you shouldn't post your work anywhere else or reply to any comments until the Masterlist has been posted at the end of the fest.

There will be a couple of gifts for the community, so please give them lots of love too! The quality is absolutely incredible this year ♥ Comments are very much appreciated, so if you like a gift, please leave a comment to let the creator know!

In regards to the posting schedule, there will be one gift posted every day except for Sunday, which is our catch up day. We'll also be posting the weekly round up on a Sunday.

As noted in the schedule, posting was supposed to be starting today, but due to one of us coping with family bereavement we've decided to postpone it by a week.

Posting will now be starting on Monday 22nd July. We're very sorry for the delay but we can guarantee you'll love the gifts and that they're worth waiting for.

If you need an extension (or unfortunately need to drop out), please let us know as soon as possible. If we don't hear from you soon, we'll have to find a pinch hitter to replace you.

The deadline is fast approaching and is only a few days away now. Your submissions are due on the 1st July! We've received a couple of submissions and extension requests, but haven't heard from the majority of you.

If you do need an extension, now is the time to ask! The same if you need to drop out. If you have not sent us a submission or asked for an extension a couple of days after the deadline, we will have to assume you have dropped out and find a pinch hitter to replace you.

We've been contacted by j_plash, who is conducting a survey on noncon and consent issues in fic for a research project. We think it's a great idea and are happy to link to it here. Here is what she says:

How do you read noncon and consent issues in fic?

I'm currently researching the complex ways in which writers and readers talk about rape and issues of consent in non-commercial (not for money) fiction online. This includes fan fiction (all the way from drabbles to epics) as well as 'original' fiction published on sites like AO3, fictionpress or LJ.

I'm a postgrad researcher at the University of Queensland in Australia, where this project has been approved by a high level ethics committee. I am also a long time member of fandom and ficdom. I don't want to write only about my perspective, though; I'm hoping to draw on the perspectives of a whole lot of fic readers. If you're willing to help out by completing a questionnaire on your fic-reading experiences, please follow the link:

This link wil be open for six weeks, so don't worry if you don't have time right now! It's a pretty versatile questionnaire: you can skip anything, tell me loads, or just pick multiple choice. That means you can take as much or as little time as you like. Answering every question in a short answer/multiple choice way will take roughly 15-20mins, but it's up to you if you'd like to spend less or more time!

It's a brand new Harry Potter fest focusing on the weather, and all pairings and genres are allowed! :D
